61. International fair of Agriculture and Food was held in Gornja Radgona, Slovenia. Some numbers to make it easier to understand the extent of the fair:

As usually every year at the end of August in Gornja Radgona is the place to be if you are connected to farming or food production in any way or just want to see interested things.
From new machinery, to live animals and variety of food products, of which a lot of them are available for tasting, there is a lot of going on. Exhibitors come from different countries all over Europe, but you can find them even from Africa.

Producing food on a large scale require big machinery and when you stand next to it, uf, that’s some serious engineering. It always impresses me.
And on the other hand, small individual production of vegetables, fruits, spices, desserts, honey, drinks… a world of its own. You can talk to a specialist for growing your own food on a balcony in city and become almost self-sufficient. Or get in touch with producers of hi-quality food, that you can order from them. It’s all there.

For our project IZRA we got all contacts and the right people with knowledge I was looking for. To visit AGRA fair is, for me, always the right decision.
